DETAILS OF MEMBERSHIP:

Member-Exclusive Bottles:

Our cellar team has developed a diverse list of unique beers for 2024 members. Since all beers are barrel-aged, we cannot commit to a specific release schedule, and reserve the right to make edits to the list provided above.  Membership bottles are scheduled to be released quarterly but may be released at any point during the membership year of 2024.

For some of our membership-only releases, our cellar may produce more bottles than what is automatically allocated to the members as part of the program. These bottles will be available to the members for purchase on a first-come, first-serve basis. In the event that all bottles are not sold after initial member offering, we may increase limits and reopen the sale to members for a short period, but also reserve the right to offer these beers to the public once the member sale period ends. In addition, we reserve the right to offer these specialty beers on draft to the public for a short window of time and/or during special events. Our every intention is to keep these beers and bottles initially exclusive to members as much as possible, but if members fail to sellout a member-exclusive release during the dedicated timeframe that exclusivity will be surrendered.

Member-Monthly Tastings:

Every month, you are entitled to enjoy one flight of four tasters or one full pour of any beer on tap, including barrel-aged beers. Along with your own tasting, you have the privilege of bringing a guest who will also receive a flight of four tasters or one full pour. It’s important to note that these tastings are only valid during the designated month and cannot be carried over to future months. Any unused tastings will expire at the end of the month and will not be rolled over. To take advantage of your monthly tastings, please present your Order of the Anvil membership punch card. This exclusive offer is intended for personal enjoyment only. Any resale or commercial use of the tastings is strictly prohibited. We want to ensure that all members have the best experience possible, so please be aware that the management reserves the right to refuse service or revoke membership privileges if necessary.

Priority Access to Most Public Bottle Sales:

In addition to the membership exclusive bottles we will be producing in 2023, we will continue our tradition of offering to the public our unique, world-class quarterly beer releases.  As a member, you will have priority access to many of these releases.  However, there may be instances where we produce a beer specifically for a special event, group, or entity (eg. – San Diego Beer Week, collaborations with third parties, Anvil of Hope, CheeseSmith, etc).  Depending on availability of these special releases, Order of the Anvil members may not be given priority access prior to the public release.  Once again, our every intention is to have members of this program receive premium access to all of our main public bottle or can releases.

We will reserve the right to allocate a designated number of bottles or cans for these releases to ensure the public continues to have access to these specialty offerings.

Member-Exclusive Events:

Throughout the year, we will host events for members of Order of the Anvil. Some events may include an additional cost for those who choose to attend and their allotted guest(s).

Merchandise & 15% off Member Discount:

We will continue to offer Order of the Anvil-branded merchandise throughout the duration of the membership year.  These items will be available for purchase and are not included in the initial registration fee.

15% off Member Discount applies to to-go beer and merchandise. Exclusions include AleSmith barrel-aged beers and products manufactured by Yeti, Linksoul, and CheeseSmith. Discount may be applied in person by showing proof of membership to AleSmith employees or with a unique promo code for the AleSmith online store.

Member-Exclusive Bottles/Merchandise Pickup & Shipping:

Following the release of any of our member-exclusive beers, members will have three options to access their bottles and/or merchandise: 1) Members are able to pick up items in the tasting room during normal business hours; 2) Members may designate a trustee (aka. proxy) to pick up their bottles and/or merchandise for them.  The use of (or a change of) a trustee requires at least 24 hours notice and a copy of identification for that designated person. Any benefits offered to members of Order of the Anvil do not apply to trustees. 3) Members may have their bottles shipped to a residential address located in California for an additional fee. Please note that an adult signature is required (21+) to receive packages.

The brewery will hold all membership bottles and merchandise for 90 days.  In addition, we will hold all member purchases of public release bottles for a 90 day period.  Extra bottles and pre-sold public releases not picked up within 90 days of the first available procurement date will be forfeited and refunded with a 25% restocking fee.  Forfeited bottles will then be made available to members for additional purchase for a 72 hour period. Bottles will then be sold to the public after this member-exclusive additional purchase period.

Termination of Membership:

The membership program runs from January 1st, 2024 through December 31st, 2024. It is non-refundable and members do not have the option to opt out during the course of the membership year.  While we hope never to do so, AleSmith reserves the right to cancel a membership at any time.

An individual is allowed one membership. If a member is found to have multiple memberships, we reserve the right to cancel all duplicate memberships purchased by the member. All beer purchased and/or obtained through your “Order of the Anvil” membership is for your own consumption. Please always feel free to enjoy the beers and share them with friends. We reserve the right to cancel any membership.
