SPOOKY SEASON AT ALESMITH

Halloween fear served with a beer! Fright Nights at AleSmith is a truly unique brewery experience. Our tasting room will be decorated with a hauntingly festive vibe all month long so come and enjoy, but what lurks beyond the fog in our brewery is truly only for the brave to survive.

This year’s story takes us back to the beginnings of one of our favorite seasonal brews, Evil Dead Red Ale. Now Evil Dead Red has been around and brewed for quite some time. Some people can’t get enough of this seasonal release. Some say it tastes like autumn in a glass… but do you know the origins of it?

Back in ole’ west, these here parts were mighty different. In the town of Calavera Springs, not too far from where the brewery now stands, a crazy brewmaster, better known as Old Man Zien, came up with a fermented concoction to quench the thirst of the local townsfolk who were suffering from a devastating 10-year long drought. But… what was in it? As the locals consumed more and more of it, they began to notice strange things happening once the sun fell past the western horizon each night. Some say that the dead rose from the grave. Some say that’s an urban myth and the town simply wasted away into the desert. Who knows?

Come experience an immersive haunt unlike any other in San Diego County, Bone Dry: The Curse of Evil Dead Red. Join us for some scary good fun during Fright Nights at AleSmith, select nights in October. This event is open to all ages, but the haunted attraction is NOT recommended for children under 12. The haunt is open from 7:30pm-10:30pm each night of operation October 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st, 27th, 28th & 29th. General Admission Tickets are $30 each and are good for entrance into the Haunt. The Haunt will also feature beer activations for those who purchase this ticket. Must be 21+ to receive a drink ticket upon entry.

Venture through our brewery and Trick-or-Treat throughout our “monsterless” not-so-scary haunt, while collecting lots of goodies along the way! Cost is just $10 per participant and includes entry, candy, coloring page. Tickets required only for kids who are trick or treating. Parents do not need a ticket. Free face painting will also be available. Costumes are highly encouraged!

Come join Stemtations San Diego at AleSmith Brewing to decorate a small pumpkin with succulents, and Halloween decorations to make your very own spooky pumpkulent (we’ll offer dried floral materials for the traditionalists)! Tickets are $39 and include a small pumpkin, succulents, decorative materials, and your first beer.

To make this event even more exciting, AleSmith Brewing Company is proud to announce the release of their new Small Batch beer, Dead Man’s Double IPA. This DDH (Double Dry-Hopped) West Coast-Style IPA boasts a robust 8% ABV and is brewed with Phantasm, Enigma, and Citra hops. The artwork for this special release features the talent of renowned artist David Lozeau. Dead Man’s Double IPA will be available on draft and in 16oz 4-packs exclusively at the AleSmith Tasting Room, while supplies last.
